Tell us a bit about Foundation K9 Training.
I started the company just a few short months ago. We specialize in training dogs and have a pretty defined process for doing so. We take a dog for 4 weeks and train them in all the basics. We then re-introduce the dog back into the family environment and continue offering help and advice to the owners as they become aclimated to their newly trained dog.
So how did you hear about the Pelotonics Group Collaboration application originally?
I started using the application in the beta phase. I was looking for something that would help me be more organized and process oriented with my clients. A friend introduced me to the system and showed me the Pelotonics website. At first I did not see the fit with my business. After some investigation and implementing the free site, I realized that the Pelotonics solution was exactly what I needed. I have my employees track their time and provide me with a daily report on thier progress with thier client dogs. The best part is that the client is always in the loop.
Tell us how you use the application.
The main use for us is client interaction. When you take someone's dog away for four weeks, it helps to be communicating with them every day. We leave updates at the end of the day and try to include pictures as well. If you have a dog that is not that sociable, we like to train them and show the owner a picture of them playing with other dogs at the part for instance. This shows progress and helps the client feel good about their dog's progress.
We also use the milestones and todo's to track progress. At any time the client can see where we are at in the process. Again, this is great for client interaction.
I have just started using the time tracking utility. This is very valuable to my business and helps me keep an eye on labor expenses. I am glad that Pelotonics launched this feature. It is definately useful.
How many projects do you manage on the system?
It ranges from 3-7 "dogs" on the system at any given time. We hope to grow to be able to handle up to 20 dogs at once.
How have your customers and retailers reacted to the system?
Most all of our customers love it. Some do not interact with it too much, but you will always have those people that it is just not a fit with. The biggest comment I get is how professional it makes our organization look.
What would you change about the system if you could?
Hmmm. That's a good question. I like it and use all of the features. I guess I would like to see some more options for templating out common work flows.
