Status Updates become a snap.
We talked with the engineering firm KPFF the other day regarding their use of Pelotonics and Google Documents. They create a "Status Update" document every week to help keep everyone on track. This is currently done through an Excel spreadsheet that exists on their company's server. Unfortunately, only one person can update it at a time and it seems that everyone wants to edit it at the same time. Now they use a Google Documents spreadsheet created within Pelotonics to keep everyone updated. They can all update it at the same time and they don't need to worry about version issues because Google Documents keeps track of every edit and allows them to rever to any previous point.
New Momentum Process Bible
New Momentum, an enterprise software firm, is using the Google Documents integration to manage the build out of their process bible. Every process within the company is chronicled and archived in a Google Document within the "Process Documentation" project in Pelotonics. This allows for swift updates to the document and because the document is centrally located in Pelotonics for all to access, there is no need to send out "updated" files to the whole team.
Quarterly Reports at Cable, a Non Profit Association
Cable uses Pelotonics and Google Documents to manage the creation and delivery of their quarterly report. The report contains contributions from six people; all in different locations! In times past they each sent thier part to one person that would then normalize the style and content into one report. Now they can all contribute on thier own timeline and in some cases in tandem. The report creating process is now faster and much more efficient.
Employee Contact Lists
How annoying is it to recieve a new "Employee Contacts" Excel file every time something changes at your organization? This seems to be a common thread for most of our users! Create a "General and Administrative" project in Pelotonics and house Google Documents with Employee Contact information, special company information, employment documentation and more! The possibilities are unlimited and best of all, once you create a file, that's the only file that people will need to reference. It is always the "latest file"!
